Jammu, Dec 19: Akhnoor Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 43 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. Police identified the arrested the bootlegger as Sham Lal of village Sungal. Police spokesman said that on specific information, team led by Inspector Pardeep Sharma, SHO Akhnoor police station raised a surprised naka at Fawara Chowk Akhnoor and intercepted pedestrian, Sham Lal. "On his personal search, police recovered 43 pouches of Excise liquor from his possession which he was carrying illegally", said spokesman. In this connection a case under FIR No. 275/13 under section 48-Excise Act has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation of the case is going on. |
