Shagotra said that Anna Hazare, despite his old age and weak health, launched a nationwide agitation in the shape of fast unto death on several times for creation of a law to check corruption in the government at various levels while Rahul Gandhi with his new ideas to lead the nation to new heights gave helping hand to Anna Hazare.
He convinced the MPS of his party and the opposition parties, who supported his view point to check corruption in the government and passes the bill in both the Houses with thumping majority.
He further said that this bill will help to eradicate corruption to some extent but the creation of Lokayuktas by the state governments is an important issue and urged upon the State Governments to constitute Lokayuktas for their respective states to ensure a corruption free society.
Prominent among those attended the function included Shamsher Lal, Neeraj Kumar, Ricky Dalhotra, Romi Sharma, Lucky Singh, Manjot Singh and others.
