| Saint Sitaram delivers sermon at Humanity Public School | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19: An awareness programme was organised by the management of Humanity Public School in its auditorium during which Sant Shri Sitaram ji Maharaj from Karnatka delivered sermon on humanity and peaceful life. Besides faculty members, the students hailing from middle and high classes were present on this occasion.
Pertinently Sant Shri Sitaram ji Maharaj from Karnatka has been in media limelight for his journey started on foot form Kanyakumari on 9th August, 2012. Saint while interacting with people enroute to his yatra covers 10 km daily along with his only companion who holds a flag depicting symbol of the 'sun and the Aum.'
While delivering his sermon, he exhorted the students to save the villages by awaring all the people of village. He also paid stress on the Indian culture which is vanishing day by day. He told them many villagers are moving to the cities which is not good for the village life since the real India resides in the villages. He also mentioned that his journey on foot will be completed in five years and will cover 15000 km with an aim to create awareness among people to save our trees, soil, water bodies, and animals besides our culture and the life style.
Before leaving the school campus he planted some medicinal and fruit plants in the school along with the students as well as the staff members.
Principal of the school Gaurav Charak has expressed gratitude towards the saint for his guidance and well wishes. |
