Bhaderwah, Jan 31: A police public meeting was held at Bhaderwah with the members of civil society including Panches, Sarpanches, local political leaders etc.
According to press release, during the meeting the participants voiced different demands viz. check over use of drugs menace, frequent traffic accidents, thefts.
The participating public were informed about steps being taken by District Police Doda for curbing the menace of social crimes, thefts, forest felling, sale of contrabands/drugs and were requested to come forward in stopping the social crimes to spread further.
Moreover, 29/30- Jan-2014 at evening hours, a Police Party of Police station Thathri during checking recovered 27 (twenty Seven) illicit liquor Pouches from the possession of Dalip Kumar son of Om Parkash resident of Dhreweri Tehsil Gandoh. 15 wooden sleepers of Deodar/Kyle were recovered from the possession of one Bashir Ahmed son of Abdul Razak resident of Bhandoga.
