| Omar unlikely to accept Cabinet Sub-Committee report, may resign | | | Asif Iqbal Naik JAMMU, Jan 31: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has reportedly made up his mind to resign in wake of the controversy between the two coalition partners over creation of new administrative units in the state. As per NC-Congress sources, both the parties are firm on their support over the issue. Congress sources said that party is firm on its stand to implement the recommendation to be submitted by committee headed by Deputy CM Tara Chand while the National Conference sources informed the "Early Times" that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah supports the implementation of Ganie Commission report and added that Omar has made-up his mind to resign any time after tomorrow's cabinet meeting. Sources said that Omar Abdullah is not going to accept the recommendation of cabinet sub-committee headed by Tara Chand and is in favour of implementation of Ganie Commission report. Sources said that Omar Abdullah will defer his resignation in case Congress surrenders and does not force him to accept Tara Chand headed committee report, beside will not create any hurdle in implementation of Ganie Commission report. Meanwhile both the parties held several round of meetings till late in the evening to find out the solution of the problem; however no breakthrough was achieved.
