Jammu, Jan 31: The four days Scouts and Guides camp organized at Jodhamal School, to instill the basic qualities and moral values amongst the youngsters concluded today. According to press release, almost 100 Scouts & Guides attended the camp and learnt how to pitch their own tents. In the span of four days under the guidance of Scout Master, SK Sachdeva from Dehradun, Guides captains Manwinder Kour and Dolly Chandok along with their team of 5 teachers, the children learnt various aspects of scouting and guiding such as its history, law, knowledge about knots, pioneering projects, first aid, use of Compass, use of fire, signs, yells, tree climbing, rope climbing etc. AK Sahu, DC Jammu appreciated such types of camping as an altogether new and rejuvenating experience for all the Scouts & Guides and which inbuilt the ethics and inculcate moral values, and makes a child more responsible towards his duties. Retired Col Prem Singh (JAK RIFLES) was the chief guest on the inauguration of the camp, while Nasreen Khan Guides Commissioner of J&K was the Chief Guest on the last day. Nasreen Khan, Usha Chuni, Trilok Singh Bist Principal, Jodhamal School was also present on the occasion.
