| Rs 2 lakh fake currency, Heroin recovered in Pargwal sector | | | Et Report Jammu, Jan 31: Alert Border Security Force (BSF) troops manning Indo Pak dividing line in Akhnoor sector foiled a bid of mentors of terror outfit and ISI to create disturbance in state with the recovery of Rs 2 lakh counterfeit Indian currency and two packets of Heroine in Pargwal of Jammu district here today. Official sources said that following intelligence inputs, the border guards of BSF 32 Battalion during a special patrol along forward areas in Pargwal of Akhnoor sector noticed a bag containing three packets of counterfeit currency and narcotic substance on the this side of the fencing.' "Approximately Rs 2 lakh counterfeit Indian currency and Heroin in two packets valuing Rs 2 lakh was recovered by BSF at Brahmna Bela near the forward border post Pargwal sector in Akhnoor today," said a BSF official on anonymity. He added the packets apparently have been thrown this side by smugglers. “The fake currency in the denomination of Rs 500 was lying barely four metres inside from the border fence, he added. Thereafter, after legal formalities the said consignment was handed over to the Khour Police for further investigation. Pertinent to mention Border Security Force (BSF) also had recovered fake currency worth Rs 4.96 lakh and some weapons including a Chinese pistol from Border Out Post (BOP) of Chhawani in RS Pura sector on August 2 last year. Sources from Akhnoor said after failing to push militants into the Indian side from the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border, the mentors of terror outfit and ISI now are in a bid to pump fake currency and narcotic substance into the Indian side to sponsor terror activities on Indian side. |
