| Prof Gupta castigates Govt for alleged acrobatting on issue of creating new administrative units | | | ET Report
Jammu, Jan 31: Retreating the charge of political acrobatting against leaders of the ruling alliance on the issue of creation of new administrative units, MLA Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta said that these leaders must explain that where from the large sums would come for funding the infrastructure for all these new units, especially when many of the developmental works have gone in limbo because of paucity of funds.Addressing the activists from his constituency and others from different areas, Prof. Gupta said that a strange situation has been created. The developmental works and even the repairs of roads and drains have come to halt but for said paucity of funds, the rods and drains have led to an awful situation. The liabilities on various accounts are mounting. "The poor workers are not being paid their emoluments for months together. Sanitation and government workings are in a bad shape. Instead of setting the things on the right track, the ruling leaders were trying to create uncalled for tensions in a crude bid on the issue of creation of administrative units", he said. He questioned their sincerity for removal of regional disparities and said that to this end there is a greater need for having fresh delimitation of Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies but on this issue, leaders of both the ruling parties are getting mum as if it is no issue for them. |
