| Release salary of Gazetted Officers of J&K High Court: HC to Govt | | Group Mediclaim policy issue | | Et Report
Jammu, Jan 31 (JNF): In the petition filed by Gazetted officers of Jammu & Kashmir High Court challenged Group Mediclaim Insurance policy on compulsory basis, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Finance and ordered the salary of Gazetted Officers of Jammu & Kashmir High Court shall be drawn and released irrespective of Govt order no 07-FD of 2014 dated January 1, 2014. Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Joginder Singh an aggrieved of Govt. Order No.07 -FD of 2014 dated 09.01.2014, wherein Government has introduced a Group Mediclaim Insurance policy on compulsory basis for the gazetted employees of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. It was submitted to court that the said insurance policy is in violation of existing provisions of the Notification dated 14th June, 1990 and Govt. Order dated 09.01.2014, it is specifically mentioned in Para- M of the scheme that expenditure beyond Rs 5.00 lacs shall be reimbursed by the Government as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical (Attendance cum Allowances) Rules, 1990. It was further stated the petitioners are eligible to claim reimbursement without spending or paying any premium and the said policy has been framed to benefit the private insurance companies for their benefits. After hearing the aggrieved Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Finance and in the meanwhile ordered that the salary of Gazetted Officers of Jammu & Kashmir High Court shall be drawn and released irrespective of Govt order no 07-FD of 2014 dated January 1, 2014. |
