Katra, Feb 8: Angered over the sealing of buildings in Katra town, Member of Legislative Assembly, Reasi Baldev Raj today said that authorities should firstly seal the government buildings, which were also constructed in violation of norms.
Addressing a public rally at Ragunath temple, Baldev Raj said that government has sealed several buildings, on directions of High Court orders. "But I want to ask the government that why not government buildings including Police Station, Shrine Board building, Hospital Katra, Fire Brigade building and PWD office be sealed as all of these are also constructed in violation of master plan", he said.
He further questioned that where were Katra Development Authority and Municipal Committee Katra, when private buildings were constructed. "The hotels and other buildings are not constructed overnight, so where were the KDA and MC Katra when the constructions were underway and they have woke from deep slumber today", he said.
He threatened to launch a massive agitation against the government and concerned authorities if the decision would not be revoked soon.
Around 500 people, participate in the meeting.
