| Doda migrants stage protest, demand benefits | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 8: Erstwhile Doda Migrant Committee (EDMC) members today staged a protest demonstration in support of their demands including provision of relief at par with Kashmiri Migrants.
Dozens of migrants, led by president Rakesh Kumar Sharma, assembled at Press Club and raised slogans against government for not conceding their long pending demand.
Addressing the protesters, Rakesh Sharma said that the committee members met with hon'ble Minister for Revenue and Rehabilatin and Commissioner/Secretary had already discussion on Doda migrant problems and they assured us to solve the problems for settlement of the issues pertaining to the migrants within 15- 20 days.
He further said that the other Doda migrant's cases may also be considered at par with the Kashmiri pundits migrants including the Muslim migrants of the valley. |
