Farmer starts fast unto death against police

Jammu, Feb 8: Alleging encroachment of his land by land mafia, in connivance with Domana Police, a farmer Karnail Singh today started fast unto death at Press Club Jammu. According to press release, Karnail Singh said that anarchy has been ruling the roost in state as police and criminals including land grabbers have been openly crushing the hapless common masses. "22 Kanal and 2 marla of land Khasra number 846 at village Sangtalab is in his ownership possession inherited from his ancestors since last more than five decades and since the value of land has increased, same has become eyesore for criminals, disgruntled police personnel", he alleged.
He further alleged that SHO Domana Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary was already involved in various cases, acted as a mafia in police uniform and claimed that he had purchased the land from some unknown persons.
Karnail Singh further said that land was everything for him and he could not allow the same to be grabbed by anybody including SHO. He pledged that he would die, if SHO would not be suspended and a cases would not be register against him.
