Jammu, Feb 8: POJK Refugee Front 1947, 1965, and 1971 today staged a protest rally here at outside the press club, against the state government's failure to concede their long pending demands. According to press release, Rachpal Singh said that the state government didn't bother to act on the advice of departmental parliamentary standing committee constituted to implement the prime minister's package for all displaced persons of Jammu and Kashmir."The immunity provided by Article 370 has made the state government a monarchical state. It doesn't bother to implement even verdicts of Supreme Court of India and National Human Rights Commission" said Singh. He further said that the families uprooted from Pakistan occupied areas of J&K due to Indo- Pak wars of 1947, 1965, 1971 had deprived of their right of final settlement- financial, social, educational, employment and political. The directions of centre government, verdict of Supreme Court of India and national human Rights commission were not being adhered to. They urged the state government to send its recommendations to union government after amending the present draft package. |
