| JTC demands regular power supply at Jagti | | | JAMMU, Feb 8: Jagti Tenement Committee has demanded for immediate restoration of power supply at Jagti township, to redress the sufferings of masses. According to press release, addressing a meeting Shadi Lal Pandita appealed to the government for immediate restoration of power supply for at least 18 hours daily so as to redress the sufferings of the inmates failing which a protest will be held at National Highway Nagrota from February 14. He also appealed to the authorities of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department for ensuring ration supplies to the Ration Depots/Ration dealers for providing required Ration facilities to the beneficiaries for celebrating Shiv Ratri Festival falling on 27th of February, 2014, beside ensuring proper supplies of Kerosene oil and enhanced Atta, Rice, Sugar quota. Pandita has further said that though cards have been supplied to the pensioners and Govt. employees (Migrants) but ration supplies are not being made to them and in case these ration card holders are being provided ration supplied that too less i.e. only 20 Kgs per family/ration card as such has made an appeal for enhancing the ratio quota for such ration card holders enabling them to meet their domestic needs.
