Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 8: Dozens of youth from Habbakadal constituency today joined People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the party headquarters. The party senior leader and state secretary, Abdul Hameed Kohsheen and district organizing secretary, Mudasir Amin welcomed them into the party fold. Speaking on the occasion, Kohsheen said it is heartening to see that PDP is becoming a natural choice for the people particularly the youth as they believe that it is the only party which is having a clear cut agenda for the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir problem and good governance in the state. He said it is the policy of PDP to take care of the aspirations of people. In his address Mudasir Amin said the people of Srinagar, particularly the youth, have faced the maximum brunt of the present government, over the last more than five years and it is now high time for them to see the end of this atrocious regime which has inflicted them maximum injuries. He said maximum number of youth, who have been killed by the ruling regime in 2010 belong to Srinagar and there is genuine anger prevailing among the people against the cruel government. He said the PDP will involve the youth in the governance system so that they can play their role in realizing a better system in the state. Castigating the government for the latest arrest of youth in Srinagar, he said by such barbaric and inhuman methods it is pushing them towards dark future. Among those who joined the party include: Aijaz Ahmad Marazi, Omar, Aadil Rashid, Shahnawaz Hussain, Kamran Ali, Mohammad Latief Najar and Muzzafar Ahmad. |
