Jammu, Feb 27: Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar and Back 2 Life, Institute of Therapeutic Solutions jointly organized a two day Physiotherapy conference cum workshop at Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust Complex here today in winter capital of state. A large number of experts and students of 'Physiotherapy' attended the workshop. According to spokesperson of Amandeep Hospital, the objective of this workshop was to promote the importance of physiotherapy in J&K. During the first day's technical sessions renowned Physiotherapists demonstrated various techniques, along with orthopedic surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Microvascular Surgeons and Gynaecologists. The resource persons spoke on Mutilated hand injuries and Rehabilitation, Osteoarthritis Management, Gynecological Management (Ante Natal & Post Natal),Neuro Condi1:ions, Sports injuries Manaqernent, Foot & Ankle Management, Paediatric Management. Medical faculty from AIIMS, Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, MAX Hospital, New Delhi, Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, Wockhardt Hospital Bangalore, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, DAV Institute of Physiotherapy, Jalandhar and Army Medical Corps were present on this occasion. Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla along with Dr Amandeep Kaur, Medical director and administrator at Amandeep Hospital Amritsar inaugurated the workshop by lighting the traditional lamp. The first guest lecture was on Mutilated hand injuries and management, from Dr Ravi Mahajan (chief plastic and cosmetic surgeon from Amandeep hospital Amritsar) along with Dr Harpreet Kaur (Assistant Professor, LPU Jalandhar) whereas 2nd lecture was on Osteoarthritis Management, by Dr Avtar Singh, chief orthopedic surgeon and joint replacement specialist at Amandeep Hospital Amritsar along with Dr Prableen Puri Assistant Prof DAV College of Physiotherapy Jalandhar and final lecture was delivered by Dr Harsimran Kour consultant physiotherapist, back 2 life institute for therapeutic solutions Jammu along with Dr Shilpy Jetly Associate Prof DAV College of Physiotherapy Jalandhar. Dr Manish Manocha, group head(J&K) Amandeep Hospital was appreciated for making the event a great success. |
