Jammu, Mar 12 (JNF): Justice Virender Singh of State High Court has stayed the appointment of 13 Assistant Stock Man and Field Man in Sheep & Animal Husbandry (S&AH) Department.
Justice Virender Singh after hearing Adv M R Qureshi appearing for petitioner Zulfkhar Ahmed and others issued notice to State of J&K through Commissioner/Secretary Sheep & Husbandry Dept, Director Sheep & Husbandry Jammu, B C Sharma Chairman District Recruitment Committee Poonch returnable within four weeks and in meanwhile ordered that appointment of private 13 private respondents vide order dated March 5, 2014 shall remain stayed till next date.
While staying the appointment, Justice Virender Singh observed that Adv M R Qureshi appearing for the petitioners submitted that the Vide Govt Order dated March 4, 2014, Dr BC Sharma stood transferred on certain allegations, he intentionally on March 5, 2014 issued appointment orders of 13 Assistant Stock Man and Field Man. Earlier counsel for the petitioners submitted that even otherwise the appointment order of private respondents could not be issued by Dr BC Sharma being District Sheep Husbandry Officer as he was only heading the selection committee and the appointment order was to be issued by the Head of Dept in terms of guidelines and said issuance of the appointment order on March 5, 2014 speaks volumes of favorable tilt shown towards private respondents. |
