Jammu, Mar 12 (JNF):- The State High Court stayed the selection list issued by Public Service Commission of 769 Medical Officers in Health & Medical Education Department. Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Adv Veenu Gupta issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Health, PSC through its Registrar, chairman PSC and Controller of Examination PSC returnable within two weeks and ordered that in the meanwhile, subject to objections from other side the impugned order dated February 25, 2014 shall stayed. This direction was passed in a petition filed by Dr Naved Anjum Qureshi and others challenging the selection list of Medical Officers. In the petitioners challenged the select list of the posts of Medical Officers in Health and Medical Education Department issued by PSC vide notification No 1-PSC (DR-S) of 2014 dated February 25, 2014 being totally illegal, arbitrarily and contrary to the provisions of law. The petitioners have further challenged rule 51 of the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (business & procedure) Rules, 1980 as substituted vide notification NO PSC/EX/11/44 dated March 30, 2014 as violative of Article 14 and 16 of Constitution of India. Court after hearing Adv Veenu Gupta in-length issued notice and stayed the selection of 769 Medical Officers. |
