Tight security arrangements are being made at the venue besides the peripheries," a senior police official said today. He said that the J&K Police in liaison with Army and BSF authorities have made all arrangements of security for smooth and incident free conduct of the rally. "Additional troops have been deployed in the area while forces are manning the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway and keeping close watch on every movement of vehicles," said the official. He further said that the BSF troops are alert along the Indo-Pak international border, adding, "vigil is being maintained along the border to keep check on any suspicious movement." Dog squads and men in civvies have also been deputed in the area while locals have been advised to remain alert and inform the security agencies on seeing an 'unwanted' movement in the vicinity of the venue. Modi will arrive here on March 26 and fly to Katra to pay obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine and later address the rally at around 0900 hrs in Hiranagar.
