Jammu, Mar 23: Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, National Panthers Party today played its cards and invited the rejected Congress candidate for Udhampur-Doda seat Choudhary Lal Singh into party fold if the later wished to join the party.
While addressing a largely attended gathering at Ram Leela Maidan Kathua here today, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Chairman Harsh Dev Singh invited the dejected Congress leader Choudhary Lal Singh who has been denied mandate from prestigious Doda-Udhampur Lok Sabha seat.
The party leaders under the chairmanship of its Patron Prof. Bhim Singh had also interacted with Lal Singh while on their way to Kathua from Jammu to celebrate the 32nd Foundation Day of NPP.
They also made a direct attack on the BJP leadership over its false promises to the people of the state to punish killers of Jan Sangh leader Shyama Prasad Mookherjee who was clandestinely arrested and later on died in Jammu and Kashmir if the party was voted to power but despite after remaining in power it failed to fulfill its promise.
District President Kathua Ravinder Pathania termed it failure of BJP to install a statue of the Jan Sangh leader in state saying-"Us leader ki aatma aaj bhi Punjab main taras rahi hai jabki woh Lakhanpur ke is paar J&K me aana chahta tha".
Prof. Bhim Singh reminded that it was Congress and NC on the one hand and BJP on the other who have been exploiting the people in the name of religion, caste and region. He promised that he shall an ensure full justice to the Pakistani refugees , to the POK refugees, to the SPOs and fresh recruits to the Panchayats and above all to the students and youth who have fallen victims of NC-Congress rule in the state.
