| Govt fails to nab killers of Kashmiri Pandits in south Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 23 : Kashmir Pandit Sangharash Samiti has accused successive state governments of failing to nab the killers of Kashmiri pandits in south Kashmir, and also alleged that a Pakistani national was made 'scapegoat' in the incident. President KPSS Sanjay Kumar Tickoo in a statement said despite passing of eleven years when 24 members of pandit community were killed at Nadimarg in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, nothing has been done to book the perpetrators. He alleged a Pakistani national was made scapegoat in the incident by the State Government. Rest is still a mystery, he said. About the separatists Mr Tickoo alleged that Kashmir's resistance movement against India have given Kashmiri Pandits bullet ridden bodies and exodus as a gift for being neutral and peace loving community. The State Government, which for obvious reasons is run by Kashmiris itself have remained spectators and have used these incidents for their political purpose as and when required.Till date none of the perpetrators have been identified and punished, he said adding that stories are made to satisfy that the alleged perpetrators have been killed in encounters of which, in real, no record exists. The KPSS have urged all the world human rights organisations to treat Kashmiri Pandits as humans and advocate on their behalf before the local civil societies and State and Central Governments as all the offices have lost their credibility with respect to the issues related to the Kashmiri Pandits living in the Valley. He said the KPSS has decided that Samadhis of the Nadimarg victims will be built at their respective occurrence places where the names of the victims will be carved to remember them for the times immortal. |
