| PHE, Agriculture employees found campaigning for Congress in Dooru | | Caught on camera | | Saahil Suhail ANANTNAG, Apr 12: Violating the Model Code of Conduct, two Government employees working with Public Health Engineering and Agriculture departments were caught on camera while campaigning for Congress in Tourism Minister's Dooru area. A local youth who shot the video identified employees as Peer Ghulam Nabi son of Ghulam Hussan Shah resident of Qammar Shahabad working with PHE department and posted in the same area while as Syed Maqsood Shah son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Qammar, working with Agriculture department posted at Larnoo Kokernag were caught sharing dias with senior Congress leader and state Tourism Congress Minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir. Video footage which is available with Early Times shows both the employees addressing the Congress rally at Qammar Shahabad that was later addressed by Ghulam Ahmad Mir. Employees while addressing the gathering promised to support coalition candidate in coming polls besides appealing attendants of the rally to vote and support in favor of Congress candidate. Besides repeated attempts officials of PHE and Agriculture departments couldn't be contacted. Pertinent to mention here that after days of unity rallies Congress and National Conference parted ways to end to resentment prevailing among the Congress workers who have openly refused to vote in favor of coalition candidate Dr Mehboob Beigh citing several reasons and raising numerous question including 'what happened to MPLADS Funds?' Thus putting leadership of both the parties in chaos and confusion. |
