Bail denied to accused involved in 'kidnapping and rape' case

Jammu, Apr 12 : Sub-Judge Jammu S S Bali rejected the bail application of one Pawan Kumar who was arrested by the police in case of kidnapping and rape with a BA-I Student.
After hearing Senior P/O Rohit Gupta for the state, Sub-Judge Jammu S S Bali observed that accused is involved in heinous offence. Court further observed that besides this, accused has also crossed all the limits of morality and dismissed the bail application of the accused.
According to the police case, on January 20, 2014 father of prosecutrix lodged a complaint with P/S Domana alleging that on January 28, 2014 his daughter studying in BA-I Jammu had gone to the college and has not returned back. On this information police registered a case u/s 366 RPC during the course of investigation police recovered the prosecutrix on March 16, 2014 from General Bus Stand Jammu and accused was taken into custody. Statements of some witness including statement of prosecutrix in terms of section 164-A CrPC have been recorded and 376 RPC was added.(JNF)
