Early Times Report

Srinagar, Apr 12 : In connection with upcoming Lok Sabha elections for Srinagar parliamentary seat scheduled to be held on April 30th , the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and its parliamentary candidate Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat addressed several public meetings in central Kashmir's Budgam district .
He accused National Conference of not undertaking any developmental activity in Budgam for the last five years which according him has resulted in further backwardness of the district. While addressing public meetings in Soibugh , Shoolipora , Lassipora Watrahail , in Budgam and Khansahib assembly segments Dr Muzaffar said that from the last five years the National Conference lead Government could not provide basic amenities like power , drinking water and roads to the people of Budgam , how can the leaders of this party ask people to vote for their parliamentary candidate ?
" People who live in VIP culture and high security zones , have no concern with Aam Aadmi's grievances , they can't understand importance of issues like un-employment, un married girls , damaged transformers , BPL ration cards , police harassment of youth etc , how can they represent such people ? Can Dr Farooq Abdullah tell people of Budgam that how much funds he has provided to the various areas of Budgam district from the last five years out of his MP LAD fund? Can he tell people that how many times his MP's raised issues of human rights violation, enforced disappearances of Kashmiri youth in parliament? If these issues cannot be raised in forums like Lok Sabha by the MP's of NC or Congress , how can they ask people for votes ?
"The road leading from Budgam to Beerwah , Chadoora to Branwar or Nassarullah Pora to Shoolipora , Lassipora Watrahail is in a shabby condition with scores of potholes after every one kilometer. While travelling from these areas one feels that as if he is travelling in some remotest corner of the state. There are better roads in remote areas like Doda or Ladakh but Budgam which is mere 15 kilometres from capital has been totally neglected inspite of the fact that two senior Ministers in the cabinet have represented this district.
Except Khansahib constituency the road connectivity in rest of the four assembly constituencies viz Chadoora , Chararisharief , Budgam and Beerwah are the worst " Muzaffar said while addressing the people Muzaffar appealed people of Budgam to vote for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming assembly elections so as to ensure mega developmental activities in the district for the next five years .
" I assure you that there will be visible change in the district as for as road connectivity is concerned and power is concerned , but for making that a reality you have to vote for me in the upcoming elections" Muzaffar added.
