Congress MLC opts for boycott!

SOPORE, May 7: In a surprising incident, MLC and vice president Congress party, Muzafar Ahmed Parrey did not turn up at his native polling booth in Haigam Sopore to cast his vote.
A polling officer stationed at Government Higher Secondary School Haigam Sopore confirmed to a local news agency that neither Muzafar Parrey nor anyone from his family turned up for polling.
In Haigam, there were two polling stations located in High School and BPS Haigam. The highest number of votes 147 out of 1000 were polled at booth number 65 while the polling booth number 67 witnessed lower turnout where only five votes were polled out of total 705.
State Congress vice president and Member of Legislative Council Mohammad Muzafar Parray according to polling officer did not cast his vote at Haigam. "He did not turn up to cast his vote," he said.
"It is not necessary for me to answer your every question. I voted but will not tell you where and I voted for 'Albani' (Plough)" Parrey told a news man and hung-up.
