Rajasthan based tourist injured in stone pelting incident

Srinagar, May 7: A 22-year-old tourist hailing from Rajasthan today was injured after a group of stone pelters attacked a vehicle in which she was traveling in from Gulmarg to Srinagar. According to, Simirita d/o Joti Ram of Rajasthan was injured when the vehicle was targeted by stone pelters at Gulmarg- Narbal road, leaving her seriously injured.
"The people were raising anti election slogans in the area on the day of polling on Wednesday, reports said adding, "Youth assembled in groups at road and started hurling stones towards the passing vehicles and an Innova tourist cab bearing number JK14B-5584 came under attack due to which 22 year old Simirita Jyoti was seriously injured.
Reports said that the injured was taken to the Government Hospital Kunzar for necessary treatment. Block Medical Officer (BMO) Tangmarg Dr Anjum told KNS that a lady from Rajasthan received head injury and she was hospitalized at the hospital.
