RS Pura, May 7: A mysterious fire has engulfed standing crops of wheat spreading acres in R S Pura here today adding miseries to the farmers who were already worried about the weather hostilities.
As per reports, fire broke out in the field and soon it fanned out to the fields of ten farmers and destroyed whole standing wheat crops.
"After the incident, the aggrieved farmers held protest demonstration against administration for its delay to press the fire tenders, reports said adding, "aggrieved farmers also demanded ex gratia from the administration to the loss."
Sources said that aggrieved farmers whose standing crops have been reportedly destroyed have been namely identified as Kewal Krishan s/o Shibu Ram of Rangpur, Bodh Raj s/o Krishan r/o Kullian, Naryan Singh s/o Sarian Singh of Korotana , Melu Dewi w/o Bachan Lal, Baljinder Singh s/o Jagatar Singh of Nai Basti, Swarn Singh s/o Gyan Singh r/o Rangpur, Balkrishan s/o Pritam Lal of Nai Basti, Bachan Lal s/o Dyan Chand of Nai Basti, Ajeet Rai s/o Gyan Chand of village Pullutana and Hardyal Singh s/o Swarn Singh r/o Pulluntana. |
