Jammu, May 7: An absconder evading arrest in a case registered at Ghorta Police Station was hospitalized after he was allegedly thrashed by the Purmandal Police and later got him admitted in the GMC& Hospital, sources said.
"The accused identified as Mohd Aslam s/o Mohd Gushi of Khadan Madana, sources said.
Sources quoting the victim admitted in the GMC&Hospital Jammu, sources said, "Purmandal police conducted a raid at the rented accommodation of the absconder and beat him severely.
"The accused was absconding from Ghorta Police Station, sources said adding, "treatment of the alleged accused was in progress till last reports came in. However police in its defence briefly said that alleged accused jumped into the nullah when police party raided his possible hideout resulting into serious injuries to him. It was the police which not only shifted the accused to Hospital but also got necessary medicare for the accused. |
