Srinagar, May 11: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) vice president and MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga today urged the state government to give childcare leave benefit to its female employees, as the recommended in Sixth Pay Commission.
"Supreme Court has cleared that a woman employee of the Central government can get uninterrupted leave for two years for child care. The provision had been already recommended by 6th Pay Commission. When Centre has announced the facility for its employees J&K government should also follow it," Monga said in a press statement.
He said state authorities should immediately decide to introduce childcare leave for female employees. |
