Jammu, May 11: Continuing with its unabated frustrated designs to pump in terrorists onto the Indian soils, the Pakistan today once again made a desperate attempt to push the ultras into this side of the territory which was effectively thwarted by the alert Indian troops. The mischievous attempt took place at Krishna Ghati area of Poonch sector today when some armed terrorists tried to make yet another attempt to sneak into Indian side around 11.45 p.m on Saturday night. Noticing the suspicious movement of the ultras, the Indian forces took position and once again challenged the ultras that resorted to unprecedented firing which was effectively retaliated by the Indian forces stationed on this side of the Indian Territory. As per the reports, 3 Grenadiers and 135 Battalion stationed at Krishna Ghati sector effectively opened the retaliatory fire as the militants opened heavy firing through mortar shelling. The terrorists had tried to make the infiltration bid from the Battal area of the Pakistan side while the Pakistan army opened the fire from two posts viz Roza and Daku Battal as the 3 Grenadiers and the 135 battalion posted in the area gave an effective retaliatory fire to push back the militants from the area. 655 Mujahid regiment on the Pakistan side at Battal post is alleged to have facilitated the attempt by the ultras to sneak into the Indian Territory. Three Indian posts viz Kranti Kirpan, Kranti 1 and Kranti 2 were attacked by the Pakistani army to give cover fire to the sneaking militants. The ensuing fire that opened late 11.45 p.m. at night prolonged till 3.30 p.m. in the night before the infiltrating militants were pushed back into the Pakistani soils. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan, of late, has resorted to unprecedented infiltrating attempts to sneak its terrorists into the Indian territories which have been effectively been thwarted by the alert Indian forces. Though the morale of the Indian forces is reported to be very high, yet the LoC along Mendhar and Poonch area has turned to be volatile as no let-up has been seen in the continuous efforts by Pakistan to push its terrorist cadre into the Indian side to create fear and disturbance in the area. The terrorists awaiting an opportunity to steal into this side of the Indian Territory have made launching pads in the Maitraniya village and are being provided holistic and moral support by 641 Mujahid Regiment of Pakistan establishment, the reliable sources quote. Sources further reveal that out of many militants awaiting a chance to sneak into the Indian Territory, many among them are those who had crossed over to that side of Pakistan from different areas of Sunderbani, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar and Naushera and are trying for their return on the Indian soil to surrender before the Army. Meanwhile, high alert have been sounded in the entire belt, particularly in the sensitive forward areas of Krishna Ghati, Gulpur, Poonch, Mandi and Sabzian where ultras are reportedly waiting at the launching pads on the other side to launch offensive on the India army. The army personnel deployed in the area are fully prepared to thwart any untoward or mischievous attempt by the ultras from the across who are reportedly being aided and abetted by the Pakistan Rangers in facilitating their entry into the Indian side of the LoC. |
