Srinagar, May 11: The army on Sunday apprehended Abdul Majid Dar, a resident of village Banpura, along with cache of arms and ammunition. The army on Sunday apprehended Abdul Majid Dar, son of Ali Mohd Dar, resident of village Banpura, along with cache of arms and ammunition based on specific intelligence input regarding presence of cache of arms in general area Trikolbal near Pattan. A joint search operation was launched by Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the morning on Sunday. During the search, four 12 bore rifles, 550 grams gunpowder, 100 grams pellets and other parts used for manufacturing of weapons along with 10 fired cartridges and one live cartridge were recovered. Huge cache of arms recovered in forests of Jammu division near LOC. Security forces on Sunday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in forests of Magrari near Darhal (Rajouri). The seized arms and goods include one AK 47 rifle, 2 magzines, 20 rounds AK 47 ammunition, 4 Chinese grenades, 3 Detonators, 1 Cordex coil and a Motorola walkie talkie. |
