| Jalmeria accuses NC of beating up of voters in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: General Secretary and candidate of National Panther Party (NPP) from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency expressed serious concern over the incidents of beating up of voters on casting their vote in Kashmir. Addressing the media persons at party headquarter Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Hari Chand Jalmeria said that it is very sad that voters were beaten up for casting their votes, Panchs and Sarpanchs, fearing danger to their lives are resigning. Lashing out at NC, Jalmeria said the irresponsible statements made by the Chief Minister Omar Abdulla and his Father Union Minister Dr. Farooq Abdulla threatening to go to Pakistan or Kashmir would go to Pakistan if people would not vote according to their choice. He said that NC -Congress coalition in 1987 had also spoiled the atmosphere in Kashmir by rigging elections which gave rise to militancy. They again have behaved dangerously for their political gains endangering the security of the state. NC is spearheading its activities in a way to clear the ground for implementation of Dixon Plan. BJP and Congress are providing helping hands. The Omar government has failed to protect the people who dared to participate in electoral process despite threats of boycott. It appears that the present ruling alliance has understood and accepted their defeat and has conspired to punish the voters responsible for their defeat. |
