Early Times Report JAMMU, May 18: Gujjar Bakarwal Desh Youth Body (GBDYB) continued to enter into 8th day protest for the rehabilitation of 35 families of Gujjar Bakerwal Community at Gole Gujral, Jammu. A large number of Gujjars under the leadership of JKGYB President Nazakat Khantana protested at Press Club, Jammu. Talking to media persons, Khatana said that we have entered into 8th day of protest for the immediate rehabilitation of the affected families of Gole Gujral, Jammu. While condemning the ignorance of state Government, Khatana has made the state government responsible for the consequences arising from this protest. The 40 lakh Gujjar Bakkerwals of J&K state is ignored time and again. A number of bureaucrats have grabbed illegally huge lands in our state, but authorities never booked them. He said that tomorrow will be our last day of protest adding that if our demands are not fulfilled we will come out on roads with our cattle and we will cover the main chowks of Jammu city including Jewel Chowk and Satwari Chowk. Khatana also warned to go on hunger strike outside Divisional Commissioner's Office, Jammu. |
