Jammu, May 18: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) today held a meeting to discuss the problems being faced by the Rajput Community at Paloura. As many as 200 young Rajput youth participated in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion Rajinder Manhas said that Rajput Sabha is not working upto the expectation of Rajput youth's and the lone association of Rajput's has failed in all fronts. He further said that Rajput sabha has no elected body and has a President from the last 14 years. Moreover the organization is charging Rs 1000 as membership fee which is beyond the reach of poor Rajput people. The organization of the Rajput Sabha is not having a sufficient membership of Rajput community and is indulging in political interference. The organization is deliberately made beyond the reach of common man so as to create a monopoly of few opportunist people. The Rajput's inspite of being highest in number are not represented properly in the assembly and in the cabinet and other fronts. This is highly unfortunate that epitome of Rajput Community Maharaja Hari Singh is not respected by the respective Governments. Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday has no holiday in the J&K state while Sheikh Abdullah has a holiday. There is no Rajput hostel for the community youngster studying in Jammu. There are no Rajput rallies, functions etc performed by the Rajput Sabha. The community youth threaten that in case Rajput Sabha will not work properly for the welfare of the community, Rajput Youth Sabha will erect a parallel Rajput Organisation in the state. Those prominent who participated in the meeting were Ranjit Singh, Raghuvir Singh, Rajesh Singh, Anudhan Singh, Ajmer Singh , Swarn Singh, Kulbushan Singh, Rajveer Singh, Rajiv Singh , Rakesh Singh, Yashpal Singh, Raviinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Prem Singh and Sandeep Singh. |
