| JKPDTU highlights corruption in Education Department | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: Executive body of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Trade Union (JKPDTU) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Suresh Sharma State President JKPDTU to discuss various issues confronting the working class of the State.While addressing the meeting expressed shock and anguish over the pending bills of with drawl of GP funds of employees worth corers of the rupees for want of funds. The employees opt for advances from their hard earned saving of GP fund under extreme compulsions and lamented that these are not disbursed by the treasuries for months together leading to lot of hardships to the employees. He said the Director School Jammu who is not adhering to the transfer policy as regards transfers of teachers, masters and lecturers are concerned. Hundreds of teachers /masters are awaiting adjustment orders and are presently attached with CEOs. He enjoined upon Dy. Chief Minister I/C school Education to adjust and bring all teachers and masters working outside Jammu Distt. Who have completed their tenure to Jammu and adjust all the female masters/teachers in Jammu at the earliest in transparent manner. He alleged lot of bungling and corruption in the transfer of teachers, masters and lecturers and urged upon the Dy. Chief Minister to look into corrupt practices prevailing in the department particularly in the office of CEO Jammu and demanded transfers officials attached in the office of CEO Jammu, otherwise JKPDTU will stage protest demonstrations against these malpractices in the department. |
