Hoarders, profiteers have a field day as coalition stays in shock

SRINAGAR, May 22: The government is found to be nowhere these days as the hoarders and the profiteers have taken control of the market giving anxious moments to the people, especially to the ones who have no means of sustenance.
It appears as if the ruling alliance hasn't come out of the trauma, as it has been completely unnerved by the outcome of the 2014 parliamentary election and is not ready to resume its routine duty giving free hands to the hoarders and the profiteers.
The people are going through the terrible times as the prices of the things have gone skyrocketing, breaking the back of the poor masses. Things, from eatables to readymade garments aren't affordable for the commoners these days. "Some people are in rejoicing mood and some are still mourning after the 2014 but is the poor masses are the real sufferers as they are still craving for the efficient governance which is missing on all fronts. There has been unprecedented increase in the prices of the commodities," said some people at Srinagar.
These people went on saying that the government is doing nothing to keep a check on the markets. The officers of the concerned department don't bother to check the market which is an assigned duty to them.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir have been left at the mercy of the God as the government has lost its control over everything. The leaders in power have forgotten about the people with the help of whom this government was formed. "The government is so much handicapped that it cannot act against the persons involved in loot in the name of the business. In fact all this is happening under the nose of the concerned authorities. The sale of rotten eatables is going on unabated, that too in the broad day light," said Ali Mohammad at Srinagar.
He went on saying that these hoarders and profiteers are doing a boom of the business as the government machinery is still busy in election related activities enabling the opportunist people to carry oo9n their business fearlessly as if they have got the license for it.
On the other hand construction materials such as sand, stone, bricks and iron items have also recorded increase in the prices. It is worth annoying that 3000 bricks are sold for Rs 22000 and more annoying is that the bricks are undersize.
There are neither market checking squads nor the law enforcing agencies turning the lives of the people into a hell. It has been wisely said 'When going gets tough, the tough get going.'
