| NPSU stages protest against JU's alleged grooming of 'goonda elements' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 22: Lashing out against some of Jammu University officials who are encouraging "goonda elements" in the campus, activists of National Panthers Students' Union (NPSU) today staged protest demonstration at different colleges and demanded action against miscreants who are playing with the career of students. Addressing the media persons at canal road where NPSU activists of SPMR College and GDC Paloura, Nistish Sharma and Neeraj Singh said that instead of concentrating upon the improvement of university grades by putting efforts in research, scores of university officials. These days are taming physically and politically influenced touts within the campus to maintain status. They further said that just to maintain nexus between some of miscreants and university officials' miscreants yesterday attacked Partap Singh Jamwal, State President NPSU in Campus. Meanwhile, activists of NPSU staged protest demonstration at Govt. MAM College and demanded immediate rustication of miscreants as soon as possible. Addressing the media persons, Lucky Singh and Vikas said that if the VC of JU will not take strong action against the unholy nexus of university officials and miscreants then NPSU will launch mass agitation in this connection. After that NPSU unit of JU also staged protest demonstration in JU campus and condemned the recent notification of Jammu University wherein the students with prior FIRs registered against them are barred from taking admission in Jammu University. Lovedeep Singh Mankotia (President JU NPSU) said that on the one hand Article 21-A of our constitution says everyone has right to education whereas the JU authorities are acting to opposite to it. |
