Samba, May 29: Samba police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid. A Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by Inspector Anu Kumar Sharma, SHO P/S Ghagwal under the supervision of Vijay Pal Singh, Dy. SP (HQ) Samba during Naka checking at (Jatwal) Ghagwal intercepted five vehicles in which 16 bovine animals were loaded for illegal transportation without permission from Kathua towards Jammu.
All the drivers of the said vehicles namely Raj Kumar, Resident of Bhojpur, Vipin Kumar, Resident of Chak Bhagta, Surjeet Singh, Sunny Kumar, Resident of Bhojpur, Sandeep Choudhary, Resident of Ansa in RS Pura were arrested, their vehicles were seized and Case with FIR No. 33/2014 under section 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act, was registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation has been started. |
