| Abrogation of Article 370: Home Ministry on job? | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 29: The Union Home Ministry has been directed to start the process for revocation of the Art 370. The Ministry has been specifically tasked to take all measures and steps in this regard including consultations and talks with every section of all three regions of the State. According to sources, the Home Ministry has briefed the new Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the legal impediments in this regard. It has also briefed him about the likely roadmap on its revocation. Sources said after few more consultations, it could even be presented to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The process has been set in motion on the onset of the Government motion as it doesn't want to delay the issue. The central Government will soon start a debate on it across the country and would also use social media . The road map would possible involve to use media blitzkrieg on the pattern the BJP used it during its electioneering campaign which eventually made the party to achieve its highest every tally. Sources said as part of the process the debate would be especially generated in all three regions of the State to set the records straight and let people know about its fact. It said the central Government is convinced that it has been used by the few powerful elite in the Valley to keep them in the chair while ordinary Kashmiri has been exploited. "Ordinary Kashmiri has been made to believe that if Art 370 goes away his identity will also go. It's pure illogical. People of the Kashmir are settled in many parts of the Country and are not harassed . Let them understand the benefits of total merger with the India and answer will be positive," said the source. The Central Government is also preparing file to expose the deeds of the powerful elite in the Valley if they try to create wrong impression about. "Once the facts and file will be made open to the public even slightly, all critics will stop even uttering a word," said the source. |
