Srinagar, May 29: Stressing on streamlining of education department for better functioning, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said the government is committed to take performance of the department to new heights by adequately addressing the genuine demands of its work force and necessary initiatives have already been taken to address the issues pertaining to employees. He said motivated workforce goes a long way in performing duties and all the stakeholders and functionaries in the department have to work together in delivering quality education to the students. This was stated by DY CM when Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today called upon him (Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand who is holding Education Ministry) and presented various demands of the Teacher association. Among prominent Director School Education, Jammu and other senior officers of the department were present on the occasion. The various demands put forth by the Saroori including filling of vacant post in Inderwal constituency, suitable adjustment of masters who served in remote areas for three years near their homes, regularisation of EVs as regular teachers after completion five plus two years of service and framing of transfer policy for ReT teachers, filling up of vacant posts, release of salary grants under SSA, timely release of salary grants, Inter district transfer etc. |
