Rajouri, May 29: A meeting of District Child Protection Committee Rajouri was held at Conference Hall DC Office Rajouri today. Mubassir Latifi SSP / Vice Chairman DCPC , ADC , CPO, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development , Principal DIET , CDPOs, ZEOs and civil society members attended the meeting. Capacity building was facilitated by National Development Foundation, Save the Children and European Commission, Parvinder Singh Programme Manager NDF discussed in brief about the child rights and child protection.
During the meeting functioning of the committee in reference to the earlier meetings in reference to establish child protection mechanism in the district was reviewed by ADC Rajouri and further directions were issued to Education Department, Social Welfare Department, Health Department and Labour Department.
ADC asked the Education Department to formulate committees at Zonal, block and school level with involvement of teachers, community and students so that the child protection issues happening in the district can be highlighted and resolved jointly.
SSP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi discussed in brief about the various child protection issues in the districts.
He asked the participants to jointly work for the welfare of the children as all the participants are directly working with the children. |
