Increasing fratricides and suicides by the security personnel have worried the higher authorities and several steps like in the past have been taken to ease the long duty hours and deployment in the hostile conditions, to sanction leaves at the earliest so that the soldiers can meet their families etc. Police has started inquest proceedings under section 174CrPC to find out the reason behind this extreme step.
