Brief facts of the case are that a complaint filed by the then Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Admn) Jammu on 17.12.2009 on the allegations of misappropriations of the money on the account of Property Tax in Jammu has revealed that Nutan Paul, Junior Assistant & Istiayaq Ahmed , Junior Assistant Officers & officials of Assessing Authority of Commercial Taxes Department, Jammu connived with private persons and the owners of the different properties S.R.Sharma, Ramesh Chander Khajuria and others to swindle away the money collected on the account of property tax and thus caused wrongful loss of the state Exchequer.
