| Major tragedy averted; lives, property saved | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 29: In a brave act, a youth averted a major tragedy when he threw a LPG cylinder which abruptly caught fire out of the house in a highly populated area in Rajouri area.
As per police sources, a LPG cylinder that suddenly caught fire and creating panic among the family members as the fire started engulfing the house on one Romesh Chander s/o Late Bihari Lal Sasan of Mankote Thandikassi in Rajouri.
However, cousin of Romesh Chander namely Kamal Kishore (Sony) s/o Girdhari Lal was passing by chance near the house and after hearing hue and cry of the family members rushed to spot.
Showing extra ordinary courage he risking his life entered in the kitchen and threw the burning cylinder out of the kitchen in open and put some wet blankets over it to douse the flames.
Kamal Kishore has sustained some burns in the incident but he managed to avert a major tragedy as there are four houses attached to this kitchen and in case of cylinder blast fire could have engulfed these houses besides causing huge loss of life or property. |
