| 2 families return illegally from PoK via Nepal, intelligence agencies clueless | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, July 1: In a bizarre incident, 16 members of two families including 4 children and 9 women from Mirpur (PoJK) have reached Rajouri after crossing Nepal border without being noticed by the intelligence agencies which claim to have been keeping eagle's eyes on the movements of POK nationals. After reaching Rajouri and later at village Jaglanoo in Kotranka tehsil on Mondaythey surrendered before the police today at Kotranka. Police claim that it had laid the 'naka' after receiving an information of Pakistani nationals heading towards Jaglanoo and apprehended tham. The heads of the families identified as Abdul Rashid and Farooq Mohd sons of Ali Mohd were resident of village Jaglanoo and had crossed over to Pakistan to settle there. Abdul Rashid son of Ali Mohd along with his wife had crossed the Line of Control (LoC) from Mendhar area (in Poonch district) in 1987 while his younger brother Faqir Mohdr had entered the Pakistan on valid Indian passport and visa in 2005 and never returned. Abdul Rashid settled in Mirpur (POK) and Faqir also went to Mirpur and settled there. He married a POK women Shahida and had three children from her while Abdul Rashid have 9 children and all were born in POK. According to reliable sources all the sixteen members of two families on Pakistan Passports reached Nepal on June 26 and after entering Indian territory, they reached Jammu on June.30 impersonating as Kashmiri traders. Intelligence sources said at about 9.30 am Tuesday, Rashid and Faqir along with their family members surrendered before the police at Kotranka. All were immediately taken into custody by the police and have been booked under violations of various offences. AK attri,IAS, DIG ,Rajouri -Poonch range said that all the adult members will be sent to Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) at Jammu for further investigation as they have entered the Indian soil illegally after breaching various Acts. Important to mention here that State government has initiated a Rehabilitation policy for the youth of J&K who had crossed the LoC for arms training . The government has identified four places from where these militants may enter the Indian soil i.e from Indira Ghandi International Airport, Delhi, Wagha Border in Amritsir, Salamabad in Kashmir and Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch district. A senior police officer said that as all of them have breached the borders and violated passport and Foreign act, they will be booked under various sections. In this connection a case under section 2/3 Egress & Internal Movement Control Ordinace (E&IMCO), 14-AF Act and 6 Passport Act have been registered under FIR No45/14 at Kotranka police station. |
