Early Times Report Jammu, July 1: The management of National Eligibility Test (NET) of University of Jammu has failed to provide better facilities to aspirants. The NET examination was conducted by UGC on June 29 in hot and humid condition, aspirants were not provided drinking water regularly. "When I asked for water, the invigilator gave a two litre bottle. I asked for glass but it was denied," Rajnesh Bhushan Sharma, a Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) aspirant who had appeared for the test at Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) near Kot Bhalwal central jail in outskirts of Jammu. Mostly the MCJ and English subject aspirants were taken to task when they were ill-treated by the NET management of university. Moreover, another MCJ aspirant Aaqib Anwaar Butt was not allowed to enter the room where other MCJ aspirants were taking test. His roll number, 27630009 was at the front of third row but he was not allowed to enter the room in the first half. "It was only during second half that Butt was made to it with us. This brought some suspicion in the room that a person who didn't appear in first session is made to sit in second half. After talking to Butt, we came to known that he was not allowed to enter the room and he appeared for paper1 and 2 in next room," Sharma added. At some other places also, NET aspirants also complained of poor facilities. When contacted NET coordinator, Rajnikant, his phone was not reachable. |
