| Jammu, July 1: The woman scooty rider today died after her scooty was hit by a tractor trolley in at Gujjar Nagar locality, police sources said. Police have arrested the accused tractor driver. Sources said the deceased has been identified as Poonam Devi (36) wife of Parshotam Singh of Paloura. "Incident took place when a tractor trolley bearing regd no JK02AX- 5299 hit the scooty driven by Poonam at Gujjar Nagar resulting into critical injuries to Poonam who later died on the spot, sources quoting some eyewitnesses said. They said that said that after hitting the scooty, the driver of tractor parked tractor in the middle and ran away from the accident spot. However acting swiftly, police have arrested the driver while the body of deceased has been shifted to the morgue at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). |
