Kishtwar, July 1:In wake of Annual Yatra of Sri Sarthal Devi Mata falling on July 5-6, a meeting to finalize the arrangements regarding the same was held today by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik. The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Kishtwar, ASP, ARTO, CEO KDA, Executive Engineer PHE, AD CAPD besides the officers of PDD, Health, Information, CRPF, Fire Services and representatives of Sri Sarthal Devi Trust also remain present in the meeting.
The members of the Trust apprised the ADC that the Yatra would proceed towards Sarthal Shrine from Gori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot on July 5-6,the chhari would be offered to Devi at Sarthal Mandir, while Hawan would be held on the same day. On July 7 the yatra would return back to Kishtwar.
The ADC directed the respective departments to ensure the availability of drinking water, street lights, medical facilities, ambulance, ration, toilet facilities and sufficient number of vehicles for the devotees.
The arrangements regarding security and availability of fire tenders were also finalized. The ADC asked all the officers to work in coordination for smooth conduct of yatra and ensure full facilities to the yatrees on this occasion. Meanwhile Senior Congress leader and member Kissan Board Shamsher Singh Bhandari today urged upon the District administration to provide free bus service to the yatries travelled to Sarthal. |
