| SSP Jammu chairs police public meet in Bishnah | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 1: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Uttam Chand today visited the border belt of Sub Division R S Pura and chaired a general public meeting at Police Station Bishnah and listened to the grievances of people.
Around 90-100 prominent citizens of the area also participated in this meet and raised various issues regarding law and order in the area
The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen ties between Police Public relations and seek their support in order to wipe out all the evils from the society. In his address SSP Jammu advised the police officers to take people friendly initiatives, besides, lay special Nakas and enhance patrolling especially in peak hours so that the disgruntled elements are not able to indulge in the criminal activities. Some of the issues were highlighted by the participants for which the visiting senior police official gave on spot directions were issued to SDPO/SHO and also assured that genuine demands of people would be taken up with the concerned authorities for remedial measures.Besides this, SDPO R.S.Pura/SHO P/S Bishnah were also present. |
