| VHP announces yearlong celebration on its Golden Jubilee | | | Early Times Report Kathua, July 1: Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) today announced about yearlong celebration on occasion of its Golden Jubilee which will start from August 17, 2014 till August 2015 across the country with great pomp and shows. This was informed by Mahavir, national leader of VHP while he was addressing a public meeting at Kathua here today. In his address, Mahavir also urged the union and state Government to resolve the problems of migrated Kashmiri Hindus by making their secured and guaranteed permanent habitation at their home land in Kashmir from where they were forced to leave by the militants. He also highlighted the need of strengthening of "Village Defence Committees for the protection of people of the J&K. Mahavir also briefed upon the one year long celebration of Golden Jubilee of VHP which is to be commenced from 17th of August 2014 to 18th of August 2015 in which the promotion of "Hinduism" and its values across the country are on priority. He said that on 17th and 18th August Shoba Yatras would be conducted across the country with full involvement of the common people. District level Samelans would also be conducted in almost 1000 Districts of the country. He told that VHP was formed in 1964 at Mumbai and since then it has been working tirelessly for the upliftment and promotion of Hinduism. |
